Me

Wow you want to learn about me? are you really sure? Alright I'm a 20 year old college student with too much time on her hands. This is what I look like.

No really thats me! honest!

Okay, fine. This is me

Thats me. I'm the one with the dark hair, the one without the spots.

I like anime, animals, online comics(if I didn't like them do you think I would be drawing them?), writing and drawing, most of the art stuff, although I have no talent for ceramics. I write under the name of Minerva Blue and like many sailor moon fanatics have my own fan senshi. Yea go ahead and laugh, but I take great pride in my creations and nobody can take that away from me.

A brief history of my journey into online comics
I first got involved in anime music videos after a friend sent me a download of Senshi on Springer in where the charecters of Sailor Moon are edited into a springer show going to the music of a Weird Al song. I loved it and wanted more. Now your probably wondering
"Yeah thats great but what the hell does this have to do with comics?"
Right, I'm getting to that. I toured several sites looking for music videos and came upon Doki Doki Productions with several fun downloads and links. Yes wonderful wonderful links in where I was introduced into Real life by one strip that claimed. "Beware The Muffin!" Not exactly those words and sounds weird but you'd get it if you saw it. I liked that so much I ended up reading the entire archives.
Then I searched through other comics and found a lot I liked. After a month or so a friend introduced me to Fogclub. An amazing comic and one I could read everyday. Then I got an idea, and idea of my own. "Why not make my own comic?" It was just crazy enough to work.

I had done a few brief one shot comics before which made some swift jokes in crudely drawn art so the concept wasn't completly foreign to me. Although my previous attempts would be no good for a long running comic I had planned so it was neccessary to come up with a completly new and unique idea.

I started out by scetching some ideas with a pencil on paper, drawing uneven boxes by hand and trying desperatly to put 2-dimensional charecters in motion. I searched through pages of previously drawn art for ideas to turn up practically nothing. My firt attempt would be a warrior on a quest, unfortunatly I had no ability in managing her movements and no desire to try. That was when out of a moment of inspiration I sketched my first drawing of a red headed charecter named Nada Won, her name is an obvious joke which said together produces "Not A One."

isn't she cute?

The drawings were crude and uneaven and the text boxed needed work, but I had my start. Intergalactic Space Sheriffs was named after the pun of a joke that was in one of my college books. The designs were retro, the puns were ridiculous, but everything clicked.

Not wanting the comic to run dry after a few runs I began drawing a few more of the comics, getting the feel for the two charecters of Nada and Leera, soon developing a plot. After more practices I got better, and soon began printing out frames for the comics and using blue line pencils. I continued drawing a few more before signing up at keenspace and then stockpiling nearly two months worth of comics in preperation for the inevitable writers block and bout of laziness. Nada and Leera will continue to develop and perhaps next plot there will be more modern designs.
